Meeting with Kim Leadbeater MP

Today I met with Kim Leadbeater MP to discuss the progress of the Assisted Dying bill through the committee stage. Kim and the committee have been working incredibly hard to make the bill as robust as possible. They are looking at all the issues raised in the second reading debate and listening to families, medical experts and organisations. The first of what I’m sure will be many amendments will be considered next week.
I was really impressed by Kim’s commitment to delivering a ‘gold standard’ bill through a fully inclusive process, and I look forward to seeing how it develops.
