It was great to meet Janet King at the Antioch Christian Bookroom in Rawtenstall. It’s a lovely little shop selling books and fair trade goods. The shop is run by volunteers and all the proceeds go to local charities. I bought some very nice chocolate!

If you have a disabled person's bus pass, from April next year you will be able to use it any time of the day.
This week the Government confirmed they will be getting rid of the 9.30am restriction, and they're backing it with £60 million.
It might sound like a small thing to those who haven't used one, but if it doesn't work before 9.30am, it's no use for an early shift, a morning hospital appointment or the school run, which for a lot of people is exactly when they would need it.
If you are eligible and do not have a pass yet, you can apply through Blackburn with Darwen Council or Lancashire County Council depending on where you live. Links in the comments.
